HIBISCUS TEA RECIPE
Try making a hibiscus tea with fresh or dried hibiscus flowers, delicious served hot or cold.
* 1 cup of water
* 2 TBS whole Hibiscus flower
* 1 TBS turbinado sugar
* 1 Tsp lavender whole
* 1/2 Tsp crushed ginger
* 6-8 ice cubes
In a 4 quart stainless steel or glass pot, bring water to a boil. Add the hibiscus, ginger, lavender, and sugar. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for approximately 20 minutes. Mixture will be dark red in color. Remove from heat. Strain thoroughly, discarding all remaining flower petals. If serving cold, pour into an ice-filled pitcher and stir. Chill thoroughly before serving in tall, ice-filled glasses.
