Marketing Strategy

There will be a broad-based marketing effort to support the Oxbow Farmstands. A cornerstone will be participation in the national “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” program. Some of the elements will include: a community outreach to local schools and senior centers; “Meet the Farmer” programs; educational programs for all ages; cross-merchandising with other vendors in the Market; and public relations events with wineries, bed-and-breakfast inns, hotels and other local interest groups. Additionally, regular promotional activities will include advertising, press releases and media visits.

The Oxbow Public Market Website will, on a regular basis, contain updated information about the Farmstands, related programs and volunteer opportunities. Individual farms will be highlighted on a regular basis.
